Jack, Conor’s younger brothers birthday party

on July 12, 2013

As many parents and family members who have children with special needs, it can be quite an ordeal to do even the typical activities for your other children. My 4 year old was determined to have a party, the first we have had for either of our boys. I wisely brought a babysitter so I could concentrate on Jack and making sure he had a good time on his birthday, while our sitter, Sara could make sure Conor had fun. And if he wasn’t having fun, well she could take him somewhere else (good call). Conor lasted about an hour and a half then had to go for a car ride. Jack had a great day and I believe Conor had some fun and was not too stressed about the event.

You have beautiful children, and by the looks of the pictures Conor was having fun, it souns like you made the right call with the sitter there as a contingency plan. I used to joke around with the doctors saying that they forgot togive me the owners manual with my children, if only raising children was that easy!!
